Ron is uniquely qualified to work with nonprofit organizations. Here is a summary of some of his experiences:

As an Executive Director of a nonprofit foundation for 15 years, Ron had responsibilities for directing this organization including strategic planning, Board recruitment, training and overall Board Development and Board relations.

  • Extendicare Foundation, 1985 to 2000.

As a Board Director, Ron has served on a number of Boards for nonprofit organizations. As a Board director, he provided leadership as Board President, Chair of Strategic Planning Committee, and Chair of the Search Committee.

  • Interfaith Senior Programs, 2005 - 2011. (President 2009)
  • Milwaukee Center for Independence, 2000 - 2006.
  • East 2000, 1998 - 2001.
  • Donors Forum of Wisconsin, 1997 - 2000.
  • American Health Care Association, Ethics Committee, 1993 - 1998.
  • Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin, 1986 - 1995. (President 1990-1992)
  • Wisconsin Association of Educators for the Gifted and Talented, 1976 - 1980 (President 1979-1980)

As a Consultant to nonprofit organizations, Ron has conducted training, provided assistance, and facilitated planning sessions with a number of groups. Ron was chosen as a participant for the Board Consultant Institute, an intensive 6-day training program led by faculty from the National Center for Non-Profit Boards, one-on-one coaching sessions, and practicum experience with an Institute project.

  • Teen Approach (Provided training for the Board, assisted in adding 9 new Board members, provided orientation, structured committees, and coached the Board in planning and meetings.) 2006 - 2007.
  • Wisconsin Faith in Action State Network (Facilitated statewide strategic planning session for 37 chapters.) 2006
  • Woodlands School (A Charter School; Assisted in planning, recruitment of Board members, orientation and restructuring of the Board. Guided the development of Charter application to UWM, accountability plans and accountability reports), 2002 - present
  • Interfaith Caregiving Network (A social services organization serving Waukesha; Facilitated strategic planning and assisted in Board assessment and Board governance.) 2003 - 2004.
